Common questions

Booking, Timing and Same-Day Service

Do you work weekends and public holidays?

Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays are all covered, no different from a Tuesday. Plumbing trouble doesn't wait for the working week, so our on-call roster doesn't either.

What happens after I call?

You tell us what's going on, and we talk through what to do in the meantime if it's urgent. A licensed plumber gets moving, and once they're on site you get a price before any work starts.

How do I book?

Call (02) 9073 7962 directly, or send details through our contact form and we'll call you back. A phone call gets someone moving faster than a form ever will.

Are you really available 24/7?

Yes. Plumbing emergencies don't stick to business hours, so neither do we. Same-day help applies wherever we can manage it.

Common questions

Pricing, Quotes and the $65 Off

How does your upfront fixed pricing work?

We inspect the problem first, then give you a fixed price before any work begins. There's no hourly rate and no estimate that grows once we're partway through the job.

Do you charge a call-out fee?

No, coming to look costs nothing. The only figure you ever pay is the one you've agreed to before we start work.

What does the $65 off your first service cover?

Any first job qualifies, big or small, and the $65 comes straight off what you owe. Bring it up when you call so it's applied before we start.

Is the quote really free?

Yes. There's no charge to have a licensed plumber assess the problem and give you a number, and no obligation to go ahead once you've heard it.

Why isn't the lowest price your main focus?

Because the lowest price usually means corners cut somewhere, and we'd rather do a job once, properly, backed by a lifetime labour warranty. We compete on honest pricing and workmanship, not on undercutting everyone else's number.

Common questions

The Merrylands Questions

Why do Merrylands's older homes get plumbing emergencies?

It largely comes down to how old the housing is. Cottages built between the wars near the station typically still carry original galvanised water pipes and clay sewer lines, both of which wear out in fairly predictable ways once they have been in the ground or a wall that long.

Do you take on local new builds and renovation work?

Yes, alongside emergency callouts we handle plumbing on renovations and new work across Merrylands. You get the same fixed quote and licensed workmanship whether it's a burst pipe or a bathroom renovation.

How local are you, really?

Merrylands is home turf, not somewhere we drop into occasionally. Our vans pass through this suburb constantly, whether or not there is a job booked that day.

Do you handle strata and units in Merrylands?

Yes. The unit blocks multiplying around Stockland and the station keep strata plumbing a steady part of our workload, and we fit in with whatever access rules the building has.

Common questions

Licensed, Insured and Done Properly

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes, Lic #465156C, fully insured, covering both plumbing and gas work. You're welcome to check the licence yourself.

Can you check my licence number?

Of course. Our licence is #465156C, and it's a matter of public record you can verify independently any time.

Who is responsible for a blocked sewer, me or Sydney Water?

It depends where the blockage sits. Your private drain, from the house to the point of connection at the boundary, is yours to maintain; the shared main under the street belongs to Sydney Water. A camera inspection usually shows which side of that line the problem is on.

Can I fix a plumbing emergency myself?

For most plumbing issues, no, it needs a licensed plumber under NSW rules, and gas work absolutely does. What you can safely do is isolate water at the meter or valve, or leave the property if you smell gas, while you wait for us.
